Daily Bread

“Daily Bread” is devoted to itemizing my daily food habits for the purpose of seeing exactly what I do eat, and determining whether or not the food choices I make contribute to my overall fatness.

  • Commentary for the first two months.  I’ve noticed that I eat very little during the day, but by evening I load up on all manner of foods, predominately high calorie, high protein intake.  I should work on eating more during the day and less in the evening since it often feels like I’m starving by the time dinner rolls around and then I tend to overeat because I eat too fast.

I feel that my food choices are improving a bit.  Although my breakfast habits toggle between healthy choices and crap (see chocolate muffins), I’m consistently eating yogurt, drinking grapefruit juice and largely cutting down on alcohol.  We have cut our eating out in 1/2, which is still more than I’d like it to be, but it’s a start in the right direction.  Brian has been working on making homemade meals that are good for us and tasty.  This is a bonus.  Yet, we are always fighting the convenient nature of restaurant eating–not that it saves time–but it does save effort.  Or gives the illusion that it does.
